Percival Menswear is an east London-based clothing brand that combines British style with internationally-sourced fabrics and materials. Known for subverting classic wardrobe staples, Percival offers unique and understated designs. With a commitment to freshness and variety, Percival designs and shoots everything from their Hackney Wick studio. 

Product

Execute the design vision of each product to Percival brand values and quality standards. Create, manage and communicate product timelines that allow for optimal time to make bulk decisions. Right product, right time, right price.

Organisation and communication

- Critical Path – Lead, communicate, update Critical Path to ensure deliveries are on time and delays are escalated to management with options of solutions.
-  Organisation and management of PLM.
-  Prioritisation and clear communication with suppliers, including all spec / technical queries / POs.
-  Oversee product logistics from supplier to 3PL ensuring prompt delivery and clear communication with relevant departments.
-  Fit and risk assess product areas.
-  Manage wearer trials and fabric development.
-  Clear communication with suppliers, maintaining positive relationships.
-  Clear understanding of our brand, customer, and competitors in all trading regions and ensure that all decisions made are customer focused.
-  Be aware of current trade/product reactions and trends. Be quick to respond, identify opportunities, risk and find solutions.
-  Understand economic and social trends and question their impact on the business.
-  Problem solving.

Product Development

- Drive the development of our amazing product, collaborating closely with internal teams and suppliers.
- Work closely with the Designers, Technicians and Merchandisers from the start of the development stage to ensure the designs align with the Product Framework and placed with the right suppliers to meet quality and margin targets.

Suppliers

- Build strong relationships with suppliers.
- Continually assess the supply base, ensuring you’re buying from the right source and COO to deliver best price, quality, reliability, flexibility and lead times.
- Negotiation – Maximise your negotiation skills to meet each season’s target margin, set targets and understand where you are going to make the biggest impact.
- Ensure critical path deadlines are met taking appropriate action to avoid delivery delays.
- Communicate production and fabric forecasts to suppliers in order to hold capacity and improve margin. - Support the team with understanding quality needs and standards.
- Ensure garments are always fitted on time and with the intention of helping to reduce returns.
