Styling Guide: Men’s Wimbledon Outfits

Is There a Dress Code for Wimbledon?

There’s no dress code for you, no. Unless you, reader, happen to be Carlos Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner. For players, the dress code is serious—white only. For spectators, you’ll be expected to dress relatively smartly—don’t come in your string vest and trackies—but officially there is no dress code.

Is there a dress code for Centre Court?

Again, no official dress code but, typically, Centre Court is a place for smart dress. Think summer wedding attire—smart and suave without looking like you’re heading to a job interview. You’re gonna want to keep it a bit breezy—it’s July in Southern England, and global warming has us in a gyat damn chokehold.

WHAT CLOTHES SHOULD YOU AVOID AT WIMBLEDON?

Dirty trainers ain’t gonna fly, neither are running vests, sports shorts, or torn jeans, according to the internet. You wouldn’t be here if you were planning on rocking up in that kind of Max and/or Paddy attire anyway, though, would you? Nothing wrong with it, just maybe save it for another time. Percival and tennis are both brilliant, and when Wimbledon is on, they come together like Magnet & Steel.

Wimbledon in 2026: What’s the Style Forecast?

The Wimbledon weather has been searingly hot so far, but the style forecast is ice cold. Let’s take a look at what you can expect to see down in SW19.

Fashion Trends to Watch from the Stands

Sure, the tennis is class, obviously, but Wimbledon is just as much about the fits as the sport. Well, almost. Thankfully, in the 2026th year of the Common Era, men around the world have cottoned on to proper summer style that allows your skin to breathe. Summer suits are officially in, and we don’t need Hawkeye to see that.

Summer Tailoring Done the Percival Way

Linen Suits and Seersucker Suits are dominating Wimbledon this year, as they should be. We know plenty of men grew up believing that wearing proper tailored suits went hand-in-hand with being uncomfortable and sweaty, but that is absolutely not the case. Pericval’s linen and seersucker suits are tailored to have you looking your best whilst keeping you breezy and cool.

Tom Holland’s Spectator Attire

Tom Holland knows how to dress. Catch actual Spider-Man and Mr. Zendaya rocking some Perci gear down the tennis this year. He’s especially fond of a knitted shirt (cotton, not spider silk).

Pablo Cotton Knitted Shirt

The last thing our hawkeyed Percival community spotted Tom wearing was this Pablo Knitted Shirt at the BNP Paribas Open. Superb choice, if you ask us.

Wimbledon Footwear Rules

Wimbledon does have a dress code but it’s essentially smart-casual. Think summer wedding style. In terms of footwear, as long as your shoes are clean and they’re not literal football boots or too garish, you’re going to be fine. Anything from Percival’s Shoe collection will see you right.

Smart Shoes That Are Lawn-Approved

Let us just give you a little list here:

Can You Wear Trainers to Wimbledon?

Yes, but nice ones. Go for the Superga Trainers mentioned above, or something similar. Nothing too sporty or flashy.

Hot Weather Style Tips

Despite what you might think, dealing with hot weather is more about airflow, looser fits, and breathable materials than it is about colour. Light colours still look better in the sunshine, but if you’re all about staying cool, make sure your fit isn’t too tight-fitting, and isn’t made from seal blubber.

Why Linen Always Serves

Linen is just the best. The natural texture, the gorgeous matte look, the breathability, the featherlight feel, the way it holds its shape… God. It’s like it evolved to be worn by handsome men in the summer. Absolute overhead smash of a fabric, in our opinion.

What to Wear to a Wimbledon Party

We all love a little Wimbledon watch party. Pimms and strawberries & cream and all that. Yes, yes, yes please. What are we wearing, though?

Smart-Casual Party Looks That Tip the Straw Hat

For a more casual indoor party—perhaps the heavens have opened the roof has come over Centre Court—we’re going Straight Leg Jeans and a Linen Shirt. Clean and classic. For an outdoor do, we’re advocating for a Cuban Collar Shirt, Linen Shorts, and Sebago Loafers—ACE, Mr. Percival!

Do Men Wear Suits to Wimbledon?

They do, yes. Quite regularly. It’s not a requirement—not at all—but especially if you’re attending Centre Court (lucky you), suits are commonplace. This is where you’ve got to be careful, though. An ill-fitting suit made of the wrong material, with your head swivelling side-to-side following those lovely rallies… A man could give himself some serious friction burn, or worse—DECAPITATION.

Is It Mandatory to Wear White at Wimbledon?

Nah. You do you.

Men’s Wimbledon Outfit

For that smart, sophisticated Wimbledon look that’s going to have the Centre Court cameras picking you out for a crowd close-up, but won’t have you sweating more than Novak in a vaccination clinic, may we suggest a linen blazer paired with linen trousers. Breathable, soft, lightweight, stylish.

Knitted Polo Shirts

For a slightly more casual (but still slick) look, try one of Percival’s trademark knitted polos. The Casa Picante is perfect for an afternoon of strawberries, cream, and big serves followed by volleys at the net, but you aren’t going to go far wrong with the entire knitted shirt collection, to be honest.

Are Jeans OK to Wear at Wimbledon?

Officially, yes, as long as they’re not ripped. Honestly, though, even though we’ve designed some of the best Jeans on the market, we’d advise against donning a pair of jeans for a day at Wimbledon.

Unfortunately this size is no longer in stock.
