Calvary twill? Twill is a smooth surfaced fabric with a clean prominent double twill effect. Twill effect? A fabric woven as to have a surface of diagonal parallel ridges. OK, what about the horses? Warp (lengthwise) and weft (crosswise) woven fabric, it was used for hardwearing clothes such as riding trousers – hence the association with British Cavalry officers. The mill weaved it, and we've made it into an Workshirt.

A hardwearing shirt for over another shirt. A shacket. A shirt come jacket. This could be a hobby shirt, a DIY shirt, a workshirt a WFH shirt. A muscle shirt? Maybe not that last one. But what you do in your ever so nice Percival work shirt is up to you. Could even be a lazy shirt.
