A Guide to 2026 Menswear Trends
Menswear Style Guide
The year is young and, so far, let’s be honest, 2026 has been a complete write-off: Quite literally non-stop rain in parts of the UK, ice all over the States, and a distinct lack of general sunniness worldwide. We’re not here to wallow, though—absolutely not. Today is a great day. Today we’re getting excited for the year to come. As far as we’re concerned, 2026 begins now, so let’s steal a hopeful glance at what the forecasters here at Percival are predicting is in store for menswear. There’s no better way to prepare yourself for the fashion rain or style sunshine in the year ahead.
What is the fashion forecast for men in 2026?
As the Earth’s northern hemisphere hatches from its wintry egg of cloud, you can expect to experience a delicate breeze of soft tailoring—suiting for all occasions, not just weddings and corporate job interviews. As we continue our journey around the Sun, street style will have a hot moment in the… Well, in the sun—the Morecambe to soft tailoring’s Wise, the Jermaine Defoe to its Peter Crouch, the pistachio croissant to its long black. Come harvest time we foresee a high yield of contemporary luxury style to see us into cosy season, an antidote to the growing meekness of daylight and depth of night.
What is the colour trend in fashion 2026?
What colours should men wear? We’re going strong and fearless this year. Vibrant yellows and greens, warm oranges, anti-misery colours. We’re demanding the sun to show itself in 2026. There’s a reason human beings evolved to see colour, and you shouldn’t fear it. The weather might be greyscale but menswear is going superpolychromatic.
Suiting
We mentioned soft tailoring earlier, and we’re backing that up. If you are blessed with the ability to see, you’ll have noticed our 100% linen suits popping up in your friend groups, at work, at the function, and there’s a reason for that. Because our linen suits are 100% linen, they’re light enough to allow for a proper three-piece suit to be worn just about anywhere, adding a touch of class and shape to your fit. Forest Green is the one to look out for this spring and summer—worth getting ahead of the game there. Let’s take a look at some other upcoming headliners.
Double Breasted Jackets
Double-breasted jackets are mathematically twice as good as a single-breasted jacket. That’s basic arithmetic. Double the style, double-breasted jackets were on the rise last year, and they’re back right at the top of the jacket tables in 2026. Easy sophistication is good sophistication.

Knitwear
There was a time when the word ‘knitwear’ basically referred to your big winter jumper and that was about it. We’re over a quarter of the way through the 21st century, and that definition no longer applies. Knitwear is everywhere now, and we’re proud to be leading the charge here at Perci.
Knitted Polo Shirts
A simple way to get more out of a suit is to mix up your base layer. Stop relying on a classic cotton shirt and throw on a knitted polo under your jacket. Not only does it afford breathability where you need it, but it adds welcome texture to a smart fit.
Another big 2026 menswear trend is set to be fuzzier textured wools such as mohair or yak wool blends, which both possess that rare quality of looking both high-end and a little more casual simultaneously. Definitely jump on this one before autumn arrives.
Knitted Cardigans
Remember those flimsy little cardigans all the indie Skins kids were wearing in 2007? Yeah, proper knitted cardigans are the opposite of that. They’re how cardigans should be, and they’re coming in strong this year.

Pleated Trousers
Pleats are a simple modification that goes a long way. Done right, they’ll add length to your leg and a subtle classiness to your style. Obviously, this is the sort of thing we take deadly seriously, and have perfected the art. See our pleated trousers for proof.
Men's Co-Ord Sets
What is a men’s co-ord set? You might ask. There are no stupid questions here, let us explain: Essentially, it’s a matching shirt and trousers or shirts. That’s it. So, now, when you hear the fashion influencers say they’re loving Percival’s new men’s co-ord set, you can sit there and go, “Hmm, yes, I too am loving the new men’s co-ord set from Perci.” Anyway, co-ord sets are in this year. Consider this pleated linen shorts and shirt combo.

Straight leg Jeans
Turns out your dad was right this whole time. The classics are classics for a reason, and it doesn’t get much more classic than straight leg jeans. We’re proud of these ones and we genuinely think you’re going to love them. That’s it—that’s the sales pitch.
Overcoats
We meant it when we said we’re summoning the sun, but, if this winter is anything to go by, we’re all going to be making use of our trusty long overcoats come the festive season, so you might as well our Minnesota and Dickens collections and grab yourself the best in class.

Embroidery & Graphics
We’ve always been about top quality, detailed embroidery in this church, and it’s back for 2026. Embroidery is bringing its friend Graphics to the party this year, though, and we’re thrilled about it. Something like this Wildlands oversized t-shirt is a dead cert this summer.
